Responsibilities:

• Manage portions of the data solution and work collaboratively with the team to create optimized data architectures and pipelines.

• Design data architecture and create technical specifications based on foundational knowledge of industry best practices.

• Mentor other engineers and provide technical guidance in order to evaluate their progress and help them grow. Implement and integrate data solutions based on architecture designs and technical specifications. Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and establish an implementation plan for the data development team.

• Recommend enhancements to data pipelines, data management processes, and suggest new ways to solve problems that arise from these processes.

• Stay updated with the latest data engineering trends, methodologies, and technologies.

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Automate data ingestion and transformation workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in data engineering.

• Ability to apply best practices and established principles of data engineering.

• Ability to interpret user requirements and develop data solutions that meet those requirements. Strong knowledge of database systems, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Ability to analyze complex data systems and identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas for optimization. Strong knowledge of data architectures, patterns, and methodologies.

• Very strong stong skills in Python and strong experience in Databricks desirable.

• Experience conducting risk analysis and developing risk management strategies for data solutions. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

• Ability to work collaboratively with the team and clients to understand their data needs and requirements. Good consulting skills to provide data-focused solutions to clients and communicate technical information effectively. A strong focus on delivering high-quality work and meeting project deadlines.

• Experience in a team-oriented environment is highly preferred.
